The students and teachers at Knollwood Elementary School used $250 in grant money that they received from Creative Communication to invite Jonathan Sprout to perform his "American Heroes Two" concert. The concert included original inspiring songs and stories about America's past. Mr. Sprout first researches and then writes his own songs and music. During the concert he emphasized the importance of writing and research in our lives. Through the hosting of a poetry contest, creating a professional anthology and its grant program, Creative Communication has changed the lives of Knollwoood's young writers.Andrea Cunningham
