Grant funds Author’s Night with Newbery Award winning Author Maia Wojciechowska
Thomas Jefferson Middle School in Garfield New Jersey used the $250 grant to bring the community together at their annual Author’s Night. Students read Ms.
Wojciechowska’s book Shadow of a Bull during class time and completed cross-curricular projects. Student authors of prose and poetry were able to showcase their work. Marie Marx and Joanne Lolacono-Morini both stated that “this was a once in a lifetime experience that will surely never be forgotten by anyone present.”
