Poetry Books Purchased With Grant Funds
Atkinson Academy in Atkinson, NH used their $250 grant to buy a selection of poetry books from Shakespeare to Jack Prelutsky. The students now have excellent examples of different types of poetry and tapes of poetry being read. They also bought books by poets who write about their processes and inspirations. Arlene Amendolara, Reading Consultant, put it this way, "All of us at the Academy, students and teachers alike, will continue to grow in our love, appreciation, and understanding of the poetry genre with the support of Creative Communication."
