Central Lafourche High School Celebrates Diversity Week
Central Lafourche High School completed its week of Celebrate Diversity during the month of May with a poetry contest.

Each winner received a certificate and a check. First place, $75; second place, $50; third place, $25; and honorable mention, $15. The winners poetry topics included: African American, Native American, and American diversity. Central Lafourches Celebrate Diversity event was broadcast on the schools in-house television channel. For one week, students, faculty, and staff began their mornings by watching videos about different cultures. The television program was produced and directed by Mrs. Achee's journalism class. The ACT Club (All Communities Together) assisted in gathering the background information. Thank you for the $250 grant allowing us to fund this project.
