Our Lady of Good Counsel School Sponsors a Writing Workshop
"The sixth grade students and I used the $250 grant money that we received from Creative Communication to invite Kathleen Ripley Leo, a local poet, to Our Lady of Good Counsel School. She conducted four writing workshops with the sixth graders. She spent two hours with each class. She took the students from getting an idea to actually writing a poem. Thanks to Mrs. Leo the sixth graders learned that writing poetry can be fun. This was one of our opening activities for our poetry unit. Thank you Creative Communication for making this fantastic learning experience possible."
