money at Arlington Elementary School funds literacy projects
Your marvelous grant
was used to fund two literacy projects in my fifth grade
classroom. First, each child studied several different genre of
writing and built a portfolio of their work. They then sent out
invitations to family and friends to attend our 5th Grade Literacy
Night. They read their portfolios, and especially enjoyed sharing
their poetry.The second project
funded was the printing of our classroom book “Marvelous
Memoirs”. The students wrote the memories and designed the
picture pages in the book. When the books were complete, we had a
book signing party and passed our books around for each child to sign
with a special message to each other. I will treasure my copy
with the messages my students wrote to me. Thank you for the
opportunity for funds to encourage my students to write. We are
all very thankful!
