Grant
money at Big Creek High School funds classroom resources
Thanks to Creative Communication for allowing our students the
opportunity to showcase their talents. Often, students are turned
off at the thought of having to read and write poetry. With the grant
funds, I purchased poetry books used in grades 10-12. Since the
subjects and authors varied, I have a valuable resource added to the
class library. With the added preparation that we now have in the
classroom, students have overcome many writing obstacles. Now the
“drudgery of poetry” has become enjoyment. Already this year,
Creative Communication has again accepted poetry of ours. What
pride for a small, rural area!
