We are so thankful that you chose our school for the grant. Pat Frolander was such a gift to our class! She read great poems, used activities to get the children to use their senses, and then had them write their own poems. As we have had trouble with children using rhyme, Pat asked the children to use rhyme in their poems along with using words that have to do with our senses.
Pat came a second day to listen to the children’s poems and to reinforce her teaching. Her enthusiasm was very contagious! Thanks again for helping us invite a kind, knowledgeable and talented poet to our school!
