Midnight Dream
I spend my time up in the sky,
Where birds and planes and things soar by.
And when the clock swings up to 12,
I come alight on my room shelf.
They say it's midnight.
They tell me to sleep.
But it stays on, the light
But no one will weep.
When I go out
And return to my dream
My parents don't pout
They watch the light's beam.
I go back up, up to the sky.
Where Cupid and unicorns and others stand by.
I fly to the clouds.
The crowds speak aloud.
They say I am done,
I live my life, with dreams a ton
My vision blurs, then back to sight.
And then I sleep in, tucked up tight.
Good night, my fellow dreams of midnight.
