HOW THE CONTEST WORKS

Students in grades K-9 write a poem.

Teachers enter students or students can enter on their own.

Our judge/educators read each piece and invite the top 45% to be published.

After the deadline, teachers are notified which students are accepted to be published and those students are invited through an email.

Students who give permission to be published are printed in an anthology that includes their work.

The top ten students in each grade division receive a $25 award and a free book. Teachers earn free classroom supplies.
